Bill has been one of my dearest friends for over 40 years. There are so many memories of him especially our Myrtle Beach trips with all if the families. He was always there for me when I needed him and he could always make me laugh. He was loyal and honest and expected the same from his family and friends. I didn't get to see him much the last several years but he will truly be missed.

Sharon, my oldest and dearest friend.....you will always be a "Daddy's Girl"...nobody can ever take that away from you and Rita (or Lynn)! My fondest memory of your dad has always been hearing "SHARON!" coming from the den. I'm sure he's getting a huge chuckle out of that now! I love you guys and we're here for you always!
Lida Gregg left a message on April 6, 2016:
Brenda, I am so sorry to hear about Bill’s passing and am extremely saddened that I was not fortunate enough to meet him once the connection was made with my Lord relatives. I feel like I know him as Ina, Louise and Tody have shared so many family stories, pictures and events with me on my visits to Tennessee. I know there are no words that will take away the grief that you are feeling during this most difficult time, but please know that you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. With much love, Lida Gregg

I didn't know him, but I know his son, Michael. He must have been an amazing man to have raised such a great son.
steve left a message on April 4, 2016:
He was my Uncle, a mentor and a friend. I cannot think back on any recollection of him without smiling. In fact, there are few recollections of him that do not bring me to laughter. No one was around this man for long before you were filled with the joy of the moment, no matter how routine or mundane your activities. He taught me how to tie a fishing knot, what buckshot size to use for a running deer, and a thousand other details he learned from a life of fishing, camping and hunting. He opened the door for me to a world where I could love and appreciate the life of an outdoorsman. This world is a poorer place in losing one who knew how to make others smile and all those around him share in the joy to be found in everyday life. In 55 years he never gave me reason to be sad until last Sunday when I learned of his passing. Even in his passing, he has taught me to go with dignity and on your terms of your own choosing. What more complete life lesson could there be?
