Billie Loraine Fletcher, 85, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Winchester Medical Center.

Born on November 22, 1940, in Winchester, Virginia, Billie was the daughter of the late Russell Mason Haymaker and Annie Eliza Hart Haymaker.

Billie dedicated many years of her career to serving others through customer service. She worked for Doubleday Books, where she assisted with customer orders, and later retired from Adelphia Cable (now Comcast) as a Customer Service Representative.

She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Billie loved gardening and bird watching. She treasured every opportunity to be involved in the lives of her grandchildren. In recent years, one of her greatest joys was spending time with her beloved great-granddaughter, Winter.

Billie is survived by her loving husband, Robert Cornelious Fletcher; her daughter, Theresa Vaught (Tommy); her son, Robert C. Fletcher Jr. (Denise); her grandchildren, Katie Vaught (Jess), Thomas Wyatt Vaught (Jessica), Nathan Fletcher (Brittni), and Brooke Fletcher; her great-granddaughter, Winter; her sisters, Juanita Creswell, and Elizabeth Wright; her brother, Clarence Haymaker (Carol); and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis Tyson, Bessie Omps, and Ellen Triplett.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Scott Orndorff. Interment will follow in the Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery. Following the committal service, family and friends are invited to gather for a reception at the Winchester Church of God to continue celebrating Billie’s life and sharing memories.

The pallbearers will be Thomas Wyatt Vaught, Nathan Hunter Fletcher, Rusty Creswell, Todd Kettlewell, Tom Orndorff and Brian Tavenner with honorary pallbearers, Rocky Rhodes and Percy Shepherd.
