To Edna and family. I became concerned when I did not receive Betty's Christmas card last month, so I called The Willows at Meadows and was given the sad news. I am so sad as I have known Betty all my life. She was a special person. I will cherish the many letters from her since I moved overseas. Edna, I send you sincere condolences and always remember that we Christians will meet her again.

My Dear "Aunt Betty" I have known you ever since I was born. Our family's ties and friendships go back many generations as we all basically lived in the same beautiful area. You were the only one my Mom and Dad trusted to babysit for me . I have admired you and you have influenced who I am today. My own dear Mom Hazel probably got tired of me saying " I want to be just like "Aunt Betty" when I grow up ". Well, 74 years later I still do! Every time I told you I loved you it came from my heart. I will miss you. Sandy

Dear family, On behalf of ESA/VSC please accept our condolences. Though some of us have never met Betty, we still feel her loss and know that her "sisters" will miss her greatly, especially from the Alpha Omega Chapter in Winchester. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Sincerely, Leslie Bowen, VSC Chaplain

Betty was a long time ESA sister to me. She worked with my mother at Shenandoah Apple Coop. I will miss seeing her at ESA state events where we always visited.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Aunt Betty was a big giver. She gave so much of her time to making sure other people were cared for, family members, friends and even strangers. She would visit my grandmother after church on Sunday, spend quality time with her and bring her the latest news on any and every subject. She was a jewel and will be missed by so many.

Betty was one of the sweetest most loving people I've ever met, as was her husband Rufus. I've known her through sorority for many, many years. I'm so happy God put her in my life. She's had a long and happy life and my God bless her with his graces in Heaven.
