Betty Lou Leight Snapp

            Betty Lou Leight Snapp, age 64, of Clear Brook, Virginia, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015, in Winchester Medical Center.

            Betty was born in Clear Brook, Virginia in 1950, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Leight.  She was a 1969 graduate of James Wood High School.   She worked as an instructional aide at Stonewall Elementary School, retiring after 28 years of service.  Betty was a member of Galilee Christian Church in Clear Brook.  She loved cooking for her family and friends.   Betty was dedicated to being the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother as she loved her family with all her heart.

            Betty married Warren “Dickie” Richard Snapp, Jr. on December 23, 1971 at Galilee Christian Church.

            Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Christina Lynn Snapp of Stephenson, VA; two sons, Timothy Jay Snapp of Martinsburg, WV, and Paul Lee Snapp, of Clear Brook, VA; grandchildren, William A. Snapp and Brittney L. Heisey, both of Winchester, VA, T. J. Snapp, Halie Snapp, Trevor Snapp, and Keenan Cirasa, all of Martinsburg, WV, and Kyle Cirasa of Brunswick, GA; one great grandchild, Jayden Matthew Heisey; a sister, Charlotte Moulden of Clear Brook, VA and two brothers, Robert Leight of Stephens City, VA, and Richard Leight of Clear Brook, VA.

            The family will received friends at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

            A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at 11:00 am with Pastor Donald Moulden officiating.  Interment will be at Galilee Church Cemetery, 1831 Welltown Rd., Clear Brook, VA 22624.

            Pallbearers will be John Omps, Gordon Watts, Jeff Moulden, Scott Moulden, William Snapp, T.J. Snapp, Matt Heisey, and Nathan Leight.
