Betty Jean Rankin Sides

Betty Jean Rankin Sides, 63, of Winchester, Virginia, died Sunday February 18, 2007 at her residence.

Mrs. Sides was born on September 17, 1943, in Orange, Virginia, the daughter of Thelma Crawford Rankin of Winchester, Virginia and the late Hiram Rankin. She was a homemaker and a member of Open Door Baptist Church.

Betty Jo married Walt Sides on March 10, 1967 in Texas.

Surviving with her husband and mother, are three sons, John Sides, Micheal Sides, and Jerry Sides, all of Winchester, Virginia; two stepdaughters, Sandra Hawksworth and Kim Lane, both of Goldsboro, North Carolina; two grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Malachowski of Lyndonville, New York.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Erection of the Cross at Open Door Baptist Church.
