To Hugh and all the Family We are so sorry to hear about Betty. We have such fond memories of spending time with the two of you and will never forget Betty's hardy laugh and how much she enjoyed hearing tales. She was a true Southern Lady and will be forever remembered and sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Bob & Carolyn Waddell

Dear Dr. Mayo , Bill, & Family I was saddened to read of your wife's/mother's recent passing. I lost both my mom & dad over the past few years so I know how tough it is to lose someone so close. Please know that you are in my prayers. It's hard to believe how long it's been since you left VB for Richmond to work at MCV. Charlton, Mapp, & Mayo was never quite the same after you left! Still have fond memories of working working with Bill during the summer of '64 or '65 at the new Gen. Hosp. of VB on First Colonial Rd. I think we also played midget league football together at the old VBHS stadium on Saturday mornings. Bill was on the Blue Devils with my best friend, Eric Hauser, as I recall. Take care. You have been missed all these years. Steve Ervin & Family
