Betty Ann Wadsworth, 84, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018, at her home.
Mrs. Wadsworth was born in 1934 in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of the late Haller H. and Mamie S. Roberts. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, Virginia. Mrs. Wadsworth was a secretary/bookkeeper for McDonald Trucking Company and several United Methodist churches where her husband ministered.
She married Reverend Anthony A. “Pete” Wadsworth on June 15, 1963 in Richmond, Virginia.
Surviving with her husband of 55 years are sons, James A. Wadsworth (Tracy) of Ashland, Maine and Keith H. Wadsworth (Angela) of Lake Wales, Florida; grandchildren, Julia and Harris Wadsworth of Lake Wales, Florida, Lucas Wadsworth of Winchester, Virginia, Sam Wadsworth of Nags Head, North Carolina, Jake, Nick and Anabel Wadsworth of Ashland, Maine.
Along with her parents Mrs. Wadsworth was preceded in death by her brother, James C. Roberts.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Dr. Steven J. Summers and Reverend Larry R. Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.
