Betty Ann Marsteller, 87 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at The Village at Orchard Ridge.
Betty was born in 1938 in Manassas, Va, daughter of the late John and Ivis Randall. She graduated Valedictorian from Brentsville District High School, Class of 1956. Betty and her husband bought Winchester Alarms in 1975 and renamed it Omni Alarm Systems where she held the title of Vice President for over 30 years. She was of the Methodist faith and a former member of Braddock Street United Methodist Church. Betty was a creator and collector of handmade Christmas ornaments. She was also involved with the “Welcome Wagon” back in the 1970’s and was part of a Pinochle group with her husband. Betty was devoted to her grandchildren, spending a lot of her time with them and attending their school and sports events over many years.
She married Vernon E. Marsteller, Jr. on September 28, 1958, in Nokesville and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2018.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Lauri M. Bridgeforth (Scott); grandchildren, Claire Bridgeforth Martin (Ryan), James Sean Bridgeforth (Corbin) and James Seth Bridgeforth; great-grandchildren, James Ryan Martin, Jack Edward Martin, Chaney Ruth Martin, and Haven Reece Bridgeforth; brother, Kirk Edward Randall (Betty Jo) and her sister-in-law, Sandy provine (Mike).
A visitation will be held for Betty on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11am with a service to be conducted at 12pm held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private.
Lauri would like to thank the selfless and caring staff at the Orchard Ridge Memory Care Unit, as well as the staff and volunteers of Blue Ridge Hospice for their continued dedication in caring for Betty’s needs before and during her passing.
