Bernadine “Bee” Seabright Adams passed on August 2, 2025, at Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury. She was born in Winchester, Virginia on March 11, 1933. She is the daughter of the late Harry Milton Seabright, Jr. and Geneva Luttrell Seabright. A brother, Harry Vernon Seabright, died as a baby in 1926.
Mrs. Adams graduated from John Handley High School in 1951.
Bee married James H. Adams, Jr., on January 20, 1962. They owned and operated Winchester Feed & Seed Company for over forty-three years. Mr. Adams passed in 2006.
Mrs. Adams is survived by a son, Harry Seabright Smith and his wife Debbie, and stepdaughter Glenda Kaiser and her husband Gary. She has six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A son, Michael Walsh Smith (wife Pam), preceded Mrs. Adams in death.
Bee spent much of her life volunteering for numerous organizations including Braddock Street United Methodist Church, Alpha Omega Sorority, Women’s Civic League, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity as one of the “Bag Ladies”, Winchester Medical Center Auxiliary and Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury.
The service will be at the Amherst Chapel at Omps Funeral Home on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 11am. Family will receive friends before the service begins at 10am. Interment will be private following the service.
A celebration of life will be held in the Chapel at Westminster Canterbury at a later date.
