Barbara Russell Cupp, 90, of Winchester, VA, passed away on June 10, 2024.

Barbara was born in 1933 in Winchester, daughter of the late J. Roy Russell, Sr. and June Pitcock Russell. She graduated from James Wood High School, Class of 1952.

Barbara married Gerald Cupp on December 14, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1995.

Barbara is survived by two daughters, Karen DeMayo (Joe) and Sue Cupp; two grandchildren, Nicklas DeMayo (Natalie) and Megan Hepner (Jason); and four great grandchildren, Molly, Anna, Riley, and Aiden. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Lou Huffman and a brother, Justice R. Russell (Linda).

Barbara is predeceased by sisters, Minnie Nesselrodt and Bonnie Knupp.

Aunt Barbara was always so inviting, warm, kind, sweet and friendly. Her laugh and smile were the brightest things in any room. I will hold those memories forever in my heart. I am so thankful she is no longer in pain and is reunited with her two vibrant sisters, amazing mother and father, and her love, Uncle Gerry. When reunited in heaven, I’m sure the laughter between Grandma Minnie, Aunt Bonnie and Aunt Barbara was brilliant and joyous!
