Barbara “Babs” Ann Braithwaite, 45, of Winchester, VA died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at her home.
Babs was born in 1971 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of John A. Braithwaite Sr. and the late Nona M. Braithwaite. She was a homemaker in her own home and was always able and willing to take care of others. Babs was an avid Redskins fan and NASCAR fan of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. Babs attended Guiding Light Gospel Church.
Surviving is her loving companion of 25 years, David L. Sellers; brother, John A. Braithwaite, Jr.; sisters, Joyce M. Braithwaite and Pastor Michelle L. Braithwaite; nieces and nephews, Matthew Deahl, Chelsey D. Young, Elizabeth Young, Autumn Miller, Brooke Braithwaite, Keegan Braithwaite, Jared Braithwaite, Bonnie Malone, and Adam Malone; and her loving pets…Isabella, her beagle and Snowball and Garfield, her cats.
Family and friends are invited to her visitation on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday with Pastor Michelle L. Braithwaite officiating at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, VA.
