Arthur Hughes “Double K.” Kitchen, Sr., 70, of Stephenson, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Kitchen was born in 1947, in Maryland, the son of the late Katherine and Alvin Joshua Kitchen. He was a graduate of James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia. Mr. Kitchen was a retired, self-employed trucker. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the American Legion Post in Purcellville, Virginia.
He married his best friend, Karen Sue Kerns, on July 11, 1974, in Mount Jackson, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife are his sons, Arthur Hughes Kitchen, Jr., Jeffery Jay Kitchen, Alvin Joshua Kitchen and Marcus John Kitchen; grandchildren, April, William, Jay, Jacob, Jahred, Katie, Kyle, Kelsey, Marcus, and Valarie. Also surviving are his sisters, Francis, Katherine, Jean, Arlene and brother, Alvin Edward.
Along with his parents, Mr. Kitchen was preceded in death by one grandchild, Little Arty, sister, Elsie and brother, John.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Wesleyan Fellowship Church with Pastor Craig Whitacre officiating.
