Arminta Marie Fridley
Arminta Marie Madigan Fridley, 83, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Fridley was born in 1927, in Frederick County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Lawrence Boyd and Margarite Madigan. She was a retired glazier with Hinkle Harris Furniture Company and a member of Winchester Wesleyan Church in Winchester. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.
She married Garnett Fridley in 1972.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Alger.
Surviving with her husband is her daughter, Patricia Pontz of Winchester; step-daughters, Robin Hardy and husband, Erin and Teresa Bierkamp all of Moorefield, West Virginia; step-son David Fridley and wife, Christina, of Middletown; four grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Norma Mae Lucas of Stephens City, Delsie Arnold, Clearbrook, Estelle Pitta and husband, Rondo, of Winchester; brothers, Frank Madigan and wife, Fredia, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, and Marshall Madigan and wife, Thelma, Star Tannery. One son, Donald Alger and one brother, Merton Madigan, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Pastor Charles Brooks officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
