Arlene Anna Wetter Arbuthnot

Arlene Anna Wetter Arbuthnot, 82, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, in her home.

Mrs. Arbuthnot was born in 1927, in Rockaway, New York, the daughter of the late Karl J. and Rose G. Wetter. She was a homemaker and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Her husband, Cornelius John Arbuthnot, whom she married on August 27, 1953, in Newark, New Jersey, preceded her in death on November 12, 2007.

Surviving is her daughter, Melanie Marie Smith of Fair Oaks, California; two sons, Dean John Arbuthnot of Winchester, Virginia, Neal Joseph Arbuthnot of Greensboro North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Joshua, Sarah, Katie, Amanda, Sandy and Kathy; one great grandson, Bradey Asher; and her sister, Barbara Underwood, of Riverside, California.

Her brother, John Raymond Wetter, preceded her in death.

All services will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
