Archie Walker, 57, of Front Royal, Virginia, died peacefully on December 22, 2015, at his residence.

Mr. Walker, was born in 1958, the son of the late Archie T. Walker, Sr. and Elizabeth Bell Giles.  He graduated from Herndon High School.  He also attended James Madison University.  He was employed at Northern Virginia 4H Educational Center as a maintenance director.

Archie married Elizabeth L. Griffin on August 20, 1983, in Fairfax, Virginia.

Surviving with his wife, Elizabeth “Betsy” Walker, are his two daughters, Jessica Griffin of Inwood, WV and Tiffany Walker of Strasburg, VA; his son, Matthew Walker of Harrisonburg, VA; two grandchildren, Ky’Leigh Griffin and KeyShawn Griffin; and his sister, Linda Walker.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Lewis Giles, Jr and son-in-law, Kenny Griffin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, at Omps South Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM at Omps South.  Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
