Antoinette Marie Bova, age 95, passed away May 18, 2026, in Florida.
Ann was born in 1931 in North East, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette Arrigo. She was a graduate of North East High School where she was Majorette & on the Yearbook staff. Ann attended Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and was a choir member and Eucharistic minister and an active member of the Italian club. She was the owner of Ann’s Wedding & Specialty Cakes, and when she first came to Virginia in 1962, she worked at the Pentagon where she met her husband, Jerry.
She married Gerald James Bova who was a Navy Veteran on July 13, 1963, in North East, PA and they were married for 52 years. Gerald preceded her in death on April 30, 2016.
In their retirement, Ann was a very active and popular Tour Director with White Star Tours traveling to popular tourist destinations in the U.S.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Susan M. Bova of Atlanta, GA; son, David C. Bova of Hollywood, FL and grandchildren, Rose M. Bova and Gia P. Bova of Hollywood, FL. In addition to her parents and husband, Ann is preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis Rose Scozzie, Katherine “Kay” Jeska, Josephine Kaufmann and her brother, Russell Arrigo.
A visitation will be held for Ann at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel in Winchester, VA, on May 27, 5pm to 8pm with the rosary to be said at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on May 28, 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Winchester, VA, with Rev. Phillip M. Cozzi celebrating the mass. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum following the funeral Mass.
