Anthony “Tony” Simon Burkhart Sr., 55, of Capon Bridge, WV, passed away peacefully at his home on January 27, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Tony was born May 5, 1966 in Toul, France the son of Donald E. Burkhart and the late Shirley J. (Giffin) Burkhart.  He was a 1984 graduate of James Wood High School and was the owner/operator of Dominion Plumbing serving both the Capon Bridge and Winchester areas and he had a great passion for his job.  Tony enjoyed going hunting with his sons and his brother, working on trucks and his favorite family vacation was going to Disney World.  Above all else Tony loved spending time with his family as they meant everything to him and he would always look forward to the family cookouts.

He married his loving wife Chantelle M. North on June 27, 2002 in Winchester, VA.

In addition to his wife, Tony is also survived by his daughter Kaley Moore; two sons Simon and Matthew Burkhart; his granddaughter Ava Moore; his brothers Kevin Burkhart (Rhonda), Daniel Fauver (Diana), Raymond Fauver and Terry Fauver (Darlene); his sister Susan Cook; and also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Monday from 4-8pm at the Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, 1600 Amherst St., Winchester, VA.  Interment will be private.
