Anthony Jay Cox, 54, of Winchester, VA, died Wed., May 25, 2011, in his home.

Mr. Cox was born in 1956, in Newport Richie, FL the son of the late Henry C. Sr. and Irene M. Cox. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Sargent Corporation.

He is survived by his loving, caring and devoted companion of 19 years, Helen M. Tinsman; 3 sisters, Tina Cox and Horace Jackson, Pat Mill and Wesley Robinson and Theresa and Wayne Wood; and his loving family members, Milton and Holly Scott and their 3 sons, Kevin and Helen Williams and their daughter, Sierra, and Harry Scott and his 2 daughters.

The family will receive friends on Fri. evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sat., at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, VA.
