Anna “Sue” Breeden
Anna Sue Breeden, age 88, of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at her residence surrounded by friends and relatives.
Mrs. Breeden was born in 1927, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Douglas D. and Mattie H. Stickley, Sr. She was a graduate of Handley High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Anna attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, and was a former member of the Women of the Winchester Moose and the Antique Car Club of Winchester.
Anna married Charles R. Breeden, Sr. on January 31, 1947, in Winchester, Virginia. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2004.
Anna is survived by her sons, Charles R. Breeden, Jr. and wife, Mary, Douglas D. Breeden and wife, Terry, and Jeffrey A. Breeden, all of Winchester, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Nancy Breeden of Richmond, Virginia; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gerald “Jerry” W. Stickley and wife, Elsie, of Winchester, Virginia.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, L. Michael Breeden, a brother, Douglas D. Stickley, Jr., his wife, Madeline, and a grandson, Darnell E. Breeden.
The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Monday, February 22, 2016, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Shenandoah Memorial Park.
