Mrs. Derry was an amazing woman, and the sweetest bus driver ever. I always enjoyed knowing her through my childhood school travels and through my family. I remember listening to Paul Harvey in the morning, Beach Boys’ Kokomo, and Achy Breaky Heart ever day on our bus rides. I still smile for those memories of her every time I hear those songs. Thoughts, love and prayers are with you all through your lose.

Our sweet Rosie Derry - you will be missed. I loved when you were my bus driver in the sixties, then your drove my daughters to school. You always remembered al your students. I so remember when my Denise got on your bus, her first day of school. You knew who I was immediately. I couldn’t believe it, but I knew my baby would be taken care of, safe and loved. Thank you for being such a beautiful lady. I will always treasure you as one of my sweeties memories. God has gained a beautiful Angel. Love you!

Both of my children had the good fortune to have “Miss Rosie” as their bus driver. They are 27 and 34 and still talk about memories of this sweet lady. She genuinely loved and took care of her students. We are grateful for her service to the kids of Frederick County!!♥️♥️

Rosie was always my favorite schoolbus driver. She drove both of my daughters in the 80's and 90's and I would follow her bus and pick off those that would pass her bus when she was loading and unloading. She was always smiling and good for a hug for me and my daughters. RIP Rosie. Job well done for 40+ years of driving and God Bless you.

Ms Rosie was a true gift to all that met her. My family was blessed through knowing your mom. We would sit beside each other In church. If your mother would be at church before us she would always save a space for us. My daughter and I will miss her but she will always reside in our hearts. Our prays are with you through this difficult time. Our love.

We loved Miss Rosie! My girls had the pleasure of riding her bus many, many years ago. She was so sweet with my youngest daughter when she went through a phase of not wanting to go to school.
