Anna C. Norman
Anna C. Norman, 93, of Winchester, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2011 in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Norman was born in 1917 in Frederick County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Jesse L. Carpenter and Ida S. Carpenter. She was a very active member of Round Hill United Methodist Church, were she taught Sunday school, a member of the Choir and she was also on the worship committee. She was a graduate of Handley High School Class of 1937.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eppa L. Norman, on April 30, 1977.
She is survived, by a son, James L. Norman, Five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jerry) Oliver, Katherine (Ed) Foster, Nicole Ross, Lynn (Crystal) Norman, Branden Norman, and Five Great Grandchildren, Ali Oliver, Jillian Oliver, Natalie Norman, Harrison Ross, and Heather Norman. A son, Lewis W. Norman and a sister, Frances Jenkins, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday at Omps Funeral Home Amherst Chapel with Pastor Pete Wadsworth officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be members of the United Methodist Men of RHUMC.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at Omps Funeral Home Amherst Chapel.
