Anita R. Smith

            Anita Renee Smith, 62, of Winchester, VA passed away on August 30, 2015 in Winchester Medical Center losing her battle to cancer.

            Anita was born on October 12, 1952 in Keyser, WV. She graduated from Keyser High School in 1970. Anita worked as a mechanic at General Electric Lamp Plant for 30 years retiring on June 1, 2008. After retiring she became an aide for Home Instead Care. She loved helping others and her job at home.

            Anita was preceded in death by her mother Mary L. Smith. She is survived by her father, Alfred H. Smith; two daughters, T’Shayla Smith and Kiana Washington, both of Winchester, VA; four grandchildren, Stephon Smith, Amaya Smith, Kiara Burks and Amari Washington; two sisters, Margo Dixon and husband, Charles, of Hopewell, VA and Terri Smith and husband, Rodney, of Keyser, WV; three nieces; three nephews and a host family members and friends.

            The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM.
