Anita “Nene” Lacy Stewart, 73, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Care Center.
Anita was born in 1942, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Hilda I. and Clarence A. Lacy, Sr. She was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1960. Anita was an Office Manager with Hallmark Plastic Surgery in Winchester, Virginia, retiring in May 2012. Anita loved going to the beach and going shopping. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, gardening and sewing. Nene adored watching and supporting her grandchildren.
Surviving is her daughter, Christina “Chris” Rogers and husband, Sean, of Winchester; grandchildren, Zachary “Zach” Rogers, Madyson “Mady” Rogers; sister, Janet Martin and husband, Denver, of White Post; brother, Clarence “Al” Albert Lacy, Jr. and wife, Carol, of Zebulon, Georgia; and her beloved cockapoo canine companion, Bailey.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Pastor John Lock officiating. Interment will be private.
