Anderson L. Hott
Anderson Lee Hott, 87, of Frederick County, Virginia died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Hott was born in 1925 in Keyser, West Virginia, the son of the late Samuel L. and Lena M. Hott. Prior to his retirement, he was a trash collector and street worker for Winchester City Public Works.
Mr. Hott married Mary Catherine Hott in 1947 in Maryland. Mrs. Hott preceded her husband in death on February 27, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Bell Smith and husband, George, of Georgia and Clair Bell Riggleman and significant other, Danny Cooper of West Virginia; three sons, Collin Hott and wife, Frances, of Georgia, Ronald Hott and wife, Susie of Virginia and Marvin Hott and wife, JoAnn of Maryland; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Mr. Hott was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Thomas and Moldy Cooper, and two brothers, Blaine Hott, Paul Hott and Henry Hott.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Jerrad Holloway officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Riggleman, Bobby Hott, Mike Hott, John Weatherholt, Mike Wright and Terry Seal. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Riggleman, Zack Weatherholt and Jeremy Weatherholt.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
