Amy Hartman, 46, of Middletown, Virginia died Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, Virginia.

Mrs. Hartman was born in 1967, in Petersburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Edgar Pratt and Corrine Lambert and her step father, Ron Lambert. She is a graduate of Moorefield High School, Class of 1985, and West Virginia University with a BSN degree, Class of 1990. Amy was employed as a registered nurse with Valley Health Surgi- Center where she was a Clinical Manager. Amy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Amy married Richard Hartman, II on August 3, 1991 in Moorefield, West Virginia.

Surviving with her husband is her mother and step father of Moorefield, WV, and a step brother, Mark Lambert and wife Beth, of Franklin, West Virginia; Amy is also survived by many extended close family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Pratt.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 am at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Robert Morris officiating. A reception will follow at the Omps Funeral Home until 2:00 PM.

The Family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel on Friday, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Amy Hartman memorial, Adirondack Forty-Sixers, P.O. Box 180, Cadyville, NY 19218. Checks may be made payable to the Adirondack Forty-Sixers.

So sorry to hear of Amy's passing. Fond childhood memories of playing together "on the hill." Her decision to become a nurse was not surprising as she was always organized and compassionate. I was the oldest of the "Pratt Grandchildren". I, unfortunatly, did not know Amy as well as I would have liked to. That being said, I feel her loss deeply. Her life was cut shout far too early....she will be missed.

She had a very difficult job and she handled it with skill and compassion. Amy has been the epitome of what nursing is all about.

Richard - It is with my deepest sympathy and a heavy heart that I extend my condolences to you. I am fortunate to have worked with both you and Amy and to have had the pleasure of knowing her. She helped me each year while I performed audit work at the Surgi-Center and became my "go-to" person when I had questions.
