Dear Kathy, My sympathy for the loss of your Dad. I always remember how he could build anything or figure out how to do it. We had fun in the playhouse he and others built when we were little. I know he and your Mom renovated different homes in the area and Dee said she was the one who did the errands to lumber yards and many times knew more than the workers. I always thought of him as a quiet man but then he would come out with interesting stories and I'd think he wasn't quiet he just didn't talk a lot. I know he was a hard worker and had a nice garden but mostly I admired his devotion to Rosie. He took such good care of her as her eyes were failing. They seemed so well suited together. Both loved sports and neither of them complained. They just accepted and went along with life. You were lucky to have your parents for so long and not have to deal with nursing homes,Kathy, and see them decline before your eyes. It's never easy to lose someone you love and to lose both parents in such a short time has got to be overwhelming. I know they were looking forward to moving, too. Rosie said that the last time I spoke with her. My heartfelt prayers, Kathy. I loved them too. san
