Almond D. Warren
Almond DeForest Warren, 90, of Frederick County, Virginia, formerly of Hamilton, New York, died Monday, December 8, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Warren was born in 1924, in DeRuyter, New York, the son of the late David A. and Myrtie C. Warren. He was a graduate of Hamilton Central School in New York. Mr. Warren was a veteran having served in the United States Army during World War II. He was attached to the 110th Signal Corps Company, achieving the rank of T/3.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hamilton, New York.
His wife, Rose Agnes Ryder Warren, whom he married on November 30, 1946, preceded him in death on November 15, 2014.
Surviving is his daughter, Kathleen Sacco and husband, Peter, of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Heather Ficarra and husband, Larry, Lisa Neal and husband, Rob, Michael Sacco and wife, Jen, Mark Sacco and wife, Beth, Christopher Sacco and wife, Lucia; and 13 great grandchildren, Jack, Peter, Albertine, Beatrice, Alexis, Amelia, Mackenzie, Julian, Olivia, Orry, Sophie, Matt and Lila.
Two brothers, LaVansen Warren and Wendell Warren, preceded him in death.
All services with Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, will be private.
