Alice Novella Embrey, 88 of Winchester, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in Shenandoah Senior Living, Front Royal, Virginia.

Alice was born in 1933 in Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of the late Harry S. White and the late Wilma M. White. She was retired from the National Association of Letter Carriers HBP in 1992.

Alice was a member of the Winchester 1st Church of the Nazarene and also Leesburg Church of the Nazarene. Alice loved to pray, her family always said she was a prayer warrior. Her greatest passion was to spend quality time with her family and friends.

Her husband, Thomas E. Embrey whom she married in 1993 in Leesburg, Virginia preceded her in 2007.

Surviving are daughters, Shirlene Brooks, (Daniel Brooks, Sr.) of Charles Town, West Virginia, Tammi Mills, (Brad) of Winchester, Virginia; son, David Bryson, (Kathy) of Tilton, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Daniel Brooks, Jr., (Christa) of Charles Town, West Virginia, Jeremy Mills of Winchester, Virginia, Erin Bryson, Benjamin Bryson, Christopher Peaslee, Jennifer Bryson and Lynsie Bryson all of New Hampshire; fifteen nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

Along with her husband and parents she is predeceased by sisters, Shirley E. Davis and Ruth A. Christensen and a brother Daniel W. White.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Winchester 1st Church of the Nazarene, 181 Nazarene Drive, Winchester, Virginia 22601. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 10:30 am with Pastor David Kessell officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, 831 Dranesville Road, Herndon, Virginia 20170.
