Alice Mohlmann Hagen, 90, of Gainesville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Adler Center for Caring in Aldie, Virginia.
Mrs. Hagen was born in 1928 in the Bronx, New York, the daughter of the late Frank and Sally Douglas. She graduated from Port Jefferson High School, New York, Class of 1946 and was a homemaker, who cared for children after school for many years. Mrs. Hagen loved to cook and bake; everyone loved her Christmas cookies and Italian dishes. She enjoyed travel throughout her life and was a member of Opequon Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Hagen, son, Robert “Rick” Mohlmann, Jr. (Karen) of Youngsville, North Carolina and their children, Robert Mohlmann, III (Andrew) of Richmond, Virginia, Colin Mohlmann of Youngsville, North Carolina; son, Todd Mohlmann (Sylvia) of Lebanon, Pennsylvania and their children, Josh Mohlmann of Lebanon, Pennsylvania and Jake Mohlmann (Corey) of Reno, Nevada; son, Glenn Mohlmann (Jan) of Blue Point, New York and their children, Nicole Mohlmann of Princeton, West Virginia and Camron Mohlmann (Suzanne) of Blue Point, New York; son, Neal Mohlmann (Nancy) of Monterey, Virginia and their child, Jaclyn Mohlmann (Nick) of Elkridge, Maryland; great grandchildren, Ethan and Kailey Mohlmann (Rick’s grandchildren); Emma and Olivia Mohlmann (Todd’s grandchildren); Trent and Owen Farmer, C.J. Mohlmann (Glenn’s grandchildren).
Mrs. Hagen was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert F. Mohlmann, Sr., Neal and Nancy’s son, Derek Mohlmann, Colin’s wife Melanie Mohlmann; and brother, Frank Bryce Douglas, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor David Witt officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, 864 Redland Rd., Cross Junction, Virginia 22625.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to Opequon Presbyterian Church, 217 Opequon Church Lane, Winchester, Virginia 22602 or to a charity of your choice.
