Albert R. Shockey, Sr.

Albert Roy Shockey, Sr., 56, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Monday, February 17, 2014, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Shockey was born in 1957, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Cora Elizabeth Haines and the late Donnie Haines. He attended James Wood High School and was a member of the Presbyterian faith. Mr. Shockey was the owner and operator of Shockey’s Auto Body in Winchester.

He married Judy Emmons on October 1, 1977, in Winchester, Virginia.

Surviving with his wife and mother, is his daughter, Julie Cain and husband, John, of Middletown, Virginia; sons, Albert Shockey, Jr., and wife, Karen, and Matthew Shockey, all of Winchester; grandchildren, Alexis N. Shockey, Austin T. Shockey, Nicholas M. Shockey, Brittany D. Shockey, Alyssia A. Shockey, Cloe A. Shockey; sisters, Elizabeth Peacemaker and husband, Robert, Crystal Marple all of Winchester and his special friends, Rosie and Petie, his dogs.

Mr. Shockey is preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Darrell Shockey.

All services with Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, will be private.

To Judy and the family, Judy I am Barbara Emmons friend don't know if you remember me or not. I am so sorry for your loss and may God see you though all of this.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest assure he is up there with my daddy watching over all of us and one day we will all meet again.

It was a shock to me this morning when I was reading the newspaper Albert you was a hell of a body man and a very careing person you would always be there for someone in need I always liked coming by your shop just to talk to you I learded a lot from that and that little car I sold you will I told you before that car looks awesome. Will I'm gona miss you but you have to leave us but we will see one another again till then your in good hands. Love Wade. And to your family prayers for all of them

Judy and family, we were shocked and saddened to hear about Albert. He was just at our shop a week or so ago laughing and joking as he always did. We really liked Albert and will miss him.
