Albert Cecil Franklin, 51, of Frederick County, VA passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Winchester Medical Center.
Albert was born in 1968 in Winchester, VA, son of the late James and Anna Louise (Whitlock) Franklin. He was owner/operator of Evergreen Waste Management LLC. Albert enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, dirt track racing and NASCAR races. He was an avid fan of the #3, Dale Earnhardt, Sr., The Intimidator. And no one loved seafood more than Albert, especially crab legs, fried oysters and oyster stew….now that was a feast. Albert loved his animals, Cecil, Daisy and Coco. Above all else, he adored his family and treasured his friends. Spending time with family and friends was very special to Albert.
He married Missy Lou Miller on June 11, 2016 in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife are children, Karlie Ann Franklin, Kendel Noel Franklin, Adrienne Franklin Malick, Holly Lyn Putman, Josh Allen Putman, and Jon Allen Putman; sister, Donna Cornwell (George); brothers, Bobby Franklin (Helena), Donald Lee Franklin, Joe Lewis (Debbie), Mike Grady (Patty); his mother-in-law (his other mother), Margie Miller; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his first wife in 2008, Kimberly Dawn Franklin; grandson, Christian Putman; and brother, James “Jimmy” Lee Franklin.
A visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Evangelist Joe Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Refuge United Methodist Church Cemetery, Stephens City, VA.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Franklin, Josh Putman, Jon Putman, Mike Grady, Little Mike Grady and Joe Lewis.
