Alana Kaye Alger, 47, of Frederick County, Virginia went home to our Father in Heaven on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center.
Ms. Alger was born in 1969 in Fairfax, Virginia, the daughter of Ralph W. Weatherholtz and Cheryl M. Layman; stepdaughter of the late Dennis “Leroy” Layman and Christine Weatherholtz. She graduated from Warren County High School, Class of 1988. Alana was Regional Director of Property Management with Aureus Property Management. She attended Church of the Good Shepherd. Alana was a devoted mother and friend to many. She always had the brightest smile in the room that simply couldn’t be overlooked. She can be forever remembered for her unique personality, her caring affection for all, and her love of life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving with her parents are daughter, Riley M. Alger of Stephenson, Virginia; sons, Zachary R. and Tyler S. Clark both of Stephenson, Virginia; sister, Christina M. Smith and her husband, James of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; step-brothers, Kenny Layman and his wife, Melissa of Arlington, Texas, Toby Layman and his wife, Heather of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Daniel Angeles and his wife, Kelly and Eddie Angeles; step-sisters, Priscilla Johnson and her husband, Jason of Woodbridge, Virginia and Christina Ann Smith and her husband, Cliff of Jacksonville, North Carolina; as well as many extended family members and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd, 645 Berryville Avenue, Winchester, Virginia with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Vernon Bray and Pastor Jeff Barbour officiating. Interment will be private.
