Aaron David Nelson, 48, of Winchester, VA, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.
Aaron was born in 1970 and grew up in Berryville, VA. He was the son of Gladys M. Nelson and the late Norman C. Nelson. He is survived by his wife Celia Haley-Nelson, daughters Candace Nelson of Annandale, VA and Casey Nelson of Fairfax, VA, sisters: Bernice Ennin and Rachael Nelson of Winchester, VA, Leah Simpson of Stephens City, VA, brothers: Dennis Nelson of Stephens City, VA, Daniel Nelson of Berryville, VA, in addition to many other family members and friends.
Aaron was a cherished and devoted husband, father, son, brother and a friend to many. He will be remembered most for his caring heart and sense of humor. He graduated from Clarke County High School, Berryville VA in 1989. He worked at Charter Communications as a Partner Support Manager. He was the owner of FreeStyle Prints, a small business that produced custom t-shirts for many customers throughout the community. He played an integral role in the start of the Wolfpack Travel Football team and he truly enjoyed coaching the boys. He also played football for Adrenaline Rush, an adult flag football team. Aaron’s other passions included cooking, reading, painting, and being at home with his family.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
