James received his Master of Education from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts from Shepherd University. He has been an active member of the Omps family for over 14 years. James is the past president of the Winchester Shawnee Lions Club. He and his wife, Ellen, have three daughters – Carrie, Stephanie, and Elizabeth.
