Robert Lawrence Dorrell, 65, of Winchester, VA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Rose Hill Health & Rehab in Berryville, VA.

Bob was born in Plainfield, New Jersey in 1957 to the late Barbara L. (Walters) Dorrell and Nicholas D. Dorrell.

Bob was a graduate of Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School class of 1975 with a specialty in baking. Baking was a lifelong hobby for Bob and he fondly
remembered his days at MCVTS.

Bob was also a member of the Monroe Township First Aid Squad in Monroe Township, NJ. Bob began volunteering with the First Aid Squad as a teenager and it
was a passion that followed him into his adult life. Bob met his wife, Debbie LeBrun, while volunteering with the squad in 1985. Bob and Debbie were married for 35
years.

Bob retired from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority where he worked as a dispatcher.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Dorrell, who passed away on September 7, 2020.

Bob is survived by his son, whom he loved dearly, Robert D. Dorrell of Martinsburg, WV; and his older brother, Nicholas (Margo) Dorrell of Monroe Township, NJ.

A Celebration of Life for both Bob and his late wife, Debbie, will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 6pm at The American Legion Post 77 in Strasburg, VA.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 12 to 1pm, followed by a service starting at 1pm led by Pastor John Haynes at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst
Chapel. Interment will be immediately after the service at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery.
