Mrs. Miller was born in 1936 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Richard G. and Caroline L. Greene. Before retiring she was Office Manager at the Quality Inn/Boxwood Motel and partner with her sister, Martha, as owner/operator of Mar-Bec Bookeeping. Becky started playing softball at the age of 10 with her sister, playing for the Winchester Lions Softball Team. In the early 60’s she was a color guard leader in the Rouss Knights of Erin Drum and Bugle Corps. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 824, Winchester Moose #1283, and the Judges Athletic Association. Becky was an avid bowler and a Board member of the Ladies Apple Valley Bowling Association. She was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, had a green thumb for azaleas, loved to travel and was quite the shopper (especially for clothes and shoes). Becky enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and playing cards.
Her husband, Clyde Miller, Jr., whom she married on July 15, 1962 in Hagerstown, Maryland preceded her in death on September 15, 2017.
Surviving is a sister, Martha G. Taylor and husband, John; brothers, Richard H.D. Greene and wife, Janus; David A. Greene, Sr. and wife, Barbara; Douglas G. Greene, Sr. and wife, Terry; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces/nephews.
Along with the recent loss of husband, Clyde, Becky was preceded in death by brothers, William L. and John T. Greene.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 11 am to 12 pm on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
