Nathaniel David “Nate Dogg” Legge, 41, of Clear Brook, VA passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020, at his home.
Nate was born in 1978 in Winchester, VA, son of Mark Legge (Diane Kelly Legge) of Stephens City, VA and Mollie Ragens (Steven Ragens) of Clear Brook, VA. He was a graduate of Sherando High School, Class of 1996 and was employed as a PLC Technician at Procter Gamble. Nate loved animals, playing dominoes and spades, and enjoyed ‘90s hip-hop music, Wu-Tang Clan, and Dave Matthews Band. He was an avid and loyal fan of the Washington Redskins and VT Hokies. Nate was an artistic and unique individual. He was always funny, uplifting, and wanted to put a smile on everyone’s face. It was his style and grace that provided support to anyone that was down on their luck. He loved his children, stepchildren, and all of his nieces and nephews. His family was his greatest passion and he loved them more than anything and with all his heart, and they all loved him back.
He married Alicia Finley-Legge in Sumter, SC on October 7, 2006.
Surviving with his parents, step-parents, and wife are daughters, Micheala Legge and Brooklyn Holiday; sons, Chase “Bubba” Holiday, and Chance Legge; paternal grandmother, Jean L. “Gram” Legge; sisters, Sally Cloonan, Natalie Barb, and Ashley Zelaski; brother, Nakoma Wilfong; and also survived by his brother by marriage, Josh Cloonan.
Nate was preceded in death by a son, Thompson Sage Smith; maternal grandparents, William Hamilton “Popeye” Guthrie and Margaret B. “Minnie” Dearth; paternal grandfather, John W. “Poppy” Legge, Jr.
Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
