Nancy Bennett left a message on September 30, 2013:
I will always remember Uncle Pat's smiling face and twinkling eyes. He was an amazing Christian man that I'm proud to have been a part of his life. He is with God, the angels, and family rejoicing. We take comfort knowing we will see him again. Dad passed 2 years ago today and I still miss him but know he was there to help Uncle Pat cross over. May God be with you during this difficult time. Love, Cousin Nancy 9/30/13

With Pat's passing all I have left of my past are memories. He was another brother to me. I can hardly remember when he wasn't part of our family. I will always think of him as that young handsome sailor coming to visit his princess. Now he is with her forever. Love, Aunt Betty Sue

From the beginning at my time at First Baptist, Mel was one who made me feel welcome and just like family. We have a million funny stories to tell about this wonderful, caring, loving man. I will miss him every day, but know that he is where he longed to be. God bless.

Mel will be greatly missed at First Baptist. He was a tender and patient shepherd for Jerry until his health would not longer allow it. Thanks for visiting.
