Judy A. Oglesby, 79 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.

Judy was born in 1945 in Winchester VA, the daughter of the late Donald and Marcella Ailes. She was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1963 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University. Judy spent over 30 years as an educator, teaching high school at Fairfax County Public Schools. She took pride in taking care of her home and yard. Judy enjoyed reading and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her cousins, Lewis and Ethel Fries and their family and Tom and Dorothy Curry and their family.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 7 at 10am at Mt. Hebron Cemetery with Pastor Kyle Sheeley officiating.

My sincere condolences to Judy’s family members for your loss! Judy and I met when in our twenties, both of us were teachers in the same school system and we enjoyed having summers free to relax or travel. We maintained our friendship as life carried us along on various paths, but now I truly feel the pain of losing treasured relationship! Her wit and wonderful sense of humor will be missed!!
