John “Johnny” Marshall Clevenger, 74, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at his home.
Johnny was born in 1943 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Marshall E. and Mildred (PeeDee) Clevenger. He attended John Handley High School and worked proudly at Northwestern Workshop. Johnny enjoyed fishing, was an avid Redskins fan, loved spending time with his family and friends, and loved his church. Johnny was a faithful member of Burnt Factory United Methodist church.
Surviving are sisters, Brenda Miller (Michael) and Susan Swimley (Billy); brother, E. Bruce Clevenger (Janie); niece, Christie and nephew, BT; and his beloved caretaker, Vickie Perry.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 10 am to 11 am on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 11 am with Pastor Steve Melester officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Johnny may be made to Burnt Factory United Methodist Church, 1943 Jordan Springs Road, Stephenson, Virginia 22656.
