Marina Smith left a message on October 20, 2025:
I sit outside John's office. What a pleasure he was to have here. I always appreciated his morning greeting and our afternoon goodbyes. He was open to conversation, not just to me but to everyone who often visited him and talked to him daily and came out of his office with new energy. It is quiet without John, and he will truly be missed. My heart goes out to his dear friends and family.

Sue Henderson left a message on October 20, 2025:
Dave was my little brother. Lots of childhood memories. I’ll miss hanging out with him and Pam talking, having a few drinks and always going to the best food places. He loved the unusual or basically unknown spots to go to. We never got to go to that last place. Eric never got that beer out that you guys talked about. I remember the lunch that he and I had where he told me about his conversion experience. We both cried. Still do, thinking about. He loved his family. Heartfelt sympathies to Pam, Jen, Greg, Zoey and Cindy. I know each one of you had a special place in his heart. Hang onto the good memories, for in the end all that matters is our love for each other and the memories that we have of them. Love

I am so sorry that John is gone. I didn't really get to know him as I only met him once a few weeks ago. But he was very kind to everyone. Such a nice person.
