Jacqueline Robinson Tobin, 67 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Friday November 17th at Winchester Medical Center.
Jackie was born on June 27, 1956, in Winchester, VA to Jackson A. Robinson and Evelyn (Louise) Robinson of Winchester, VA. She was a graduate of John Handley High School, Class of 1974. Jackie retired from Winchester City Schools after 33 years of service as a teaching assistant. Her love for her students went way beyond the classroom and will always be cherished. If a child had a story, Jackie wanted to hear it. Jackie will be remembered for her creative arts, which were displayed in many local venues. She was proudest of the people, plants, and crafts that she made, grew, and nurtured.
Jackie is survived by her parents, Jackson A. Robinson and Evelyn (Louise) Robinson; her sisters, Janet Churchward and Joyce R. Ferrebee (Fred); her husband of 47 years, William (Bill) A. Tobin; son, W. Jackson Tobin of Winchester, VA; daughter, Casey Tyson (Chad) of Salem, VA, as well as grandchildren, Chloe Tobin, Naomi Peabody (Grant), Gabrielle Tobin, Jessee Tobin, Brylie Tobin, and Ayden Tyson. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jackie is preceded in death by her nephew, Bryan V. Churchward.
A visitation will be held for Jackie on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 4pm to 6pm with a service at 6pm, all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
