Isaac G. “Greg” Norman (Col. USAF Ret)

Isaac Gregory “Greg” Norman, 91, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Sunday, November 25, 2012.

Mr. Norman was born in 1921, in Unison, Virginia, the son of the late Charles Walter and Inez Norman. He was a graduate of John Handley High School. Mr. Norman was a retired Veteran having served in the United State Air Force, achieving the rank of Colonel. He was an avid gardener and aircraft enthusiast.

His wife, Virginia Lucille Norman, preceded him in death on November 1, 2004.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Roberts and husband, Billy, of Winchester, Susan Bassford and husband, Art, of Lakeland, Florida; four grandchildren, Debi Albritton, Scott Roberts, Jeni White, and Chris Roberts; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Pope of Winchester, Becky Case of Front Royal, and two brothers, Bill Norman of Woodstock, and Bobby Norman of Herndon.

Two brothers, Lynn Norman and Walter White Norman, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Steve Melester officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
