Mr. Gary Franklin Borden, age 58, of Winchester, VA, died Friday, October 21, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Borden was born in 1953 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Leo Borden and the late Maggie Carter. He was a retired construction worker, having worked at Shockey Brothers.

Mr. Borden is survived by two daughters: Kimberly Borden of Linden, VA and Kayla Borden of Bunker Hill WV; two sons: Christopher Borden of Bunker Hill, WV and Kevin Borden of Winchester, VA; eight grandchildren: Abigail Borden, Jeffery Ford, and Corey Ford, all of Bunker Hill, WV, and Angelina Borden, Breanna Borden, Jessica Sanelli, Jaime Walton, and Gage Meadows, all of Winchester; four sisters, and two brothers.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Pastor Ken Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel from 6 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday evening prior to the service.
