Ellen W. Fairbanks, 74, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Villages at Orchard Ridge in Winchester, Virginia.
Ms. Fairbanks was born in 1942 in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of the late Bernhard and Maria Wolff. She graduated from Penn State with a Bachelors in Microbiology, then went on to earn her MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. She retired as a Certified Financial Planner with MD&A Financial Management Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Surviving are daughters, Krista Fairbanks of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Linda Galanthay (Ted) of Ithaca, New York; son, Bryan Fairbanks (Stephanie) of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Theodore, Claire, Grace, Lindsay, and Timothy; and one sister, Linda Reuter of Flowery Branch, Georgia.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.
