Demetrius Brandon Weeden, 40, of Lake Frederick, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Demetrius was born June 12, 1985 in Leonardtown, Maryland the son of Demetrius Earl Weeden and Daphne Jean (Moore) Weeden. He was a graduate of Westlake High School in Waldorf, Maryland and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Strayer University. Demetrius was employed as the Regional Director of Hotel Sales for the Aikens Group in Winchester. He was a member of Restoration Fellowship Church in Strasburg and a past member of New Community Church of God and Christ in Waldorf, Maryland.
Family was priority for Demetrius. His daughters meant the world to him. Demetrius was active in the community. He volunteered as a coach and mentor with the Stonewall Bandits Youth Football organization. He will always be remembered as a devoted father, a reliable friend and a man known for helping others without hesitation.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his loving daughters Ameira and Irie Weeden; his sister Denae Weeden; aunts and uncles Robert Moore, Deanna Nored (Kermit), Erline Berkley, Norman Moore, Windy Boyce (Gordon), Kevin Moore, Michael Sommerville (Nancy), Roland Weeden Jr. (Cassandra) and Doreen Woodland (Mark) and he is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Demetrius is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Norman and Janet Moore and his paternal grandparents Roland and Agnes Weeden.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Wednesday (Feb 4) from 4:00pm until his Funeral Service at 6:00pm at Omps Funeral Home, 1600 Amherst St., Winchester, VA 22601 with Pastor Scott Priest of Restoration Fellowship Church officiating.
A Funeral Service will also be held Thursday (Feb 5) at 11:00am at New Community Church of God in Christ at 3480 Catterton Place, Suite 101, Waldorf, Maryland 20602 with Superintendent Willie R. Hunt officiating.
Interment will take place Friday (Feb 6) at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Cemetery, 38888 Dr. Johnson Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659.
