David Wayne “Bubba” Burroughs, 38, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018, in Winchester, Virginia.
David was born in 1980 in Volusia County, Florida, the son of Charles Burroughs of Jacksonville, Florida and Jody Harrelson of Winchester, Virginia; stepson of Jo Ann Burroughs of Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Chantilly High School, Chantilly, Virginia. David worked for Falls Church Auto Body. His talent as an auto body technician gave him great satisfaction. David was quite the jokester and was always “stirring the pot” to get everyone going. He had a huge heart and made everyone around him feel special. David’s greatest passion was his family. A loving son, father, brother and uncle that will be missed.
Surviving with his parents and stepmother are sons, Dylan and David Burroughs; sisters, Jessica Nugent (Steven) and Jeannie Thompson (Kristopher) of Florida, Sarah Burroughs of Woodstock, Virginia, and Rhonda Conrad of Goodyear, Arizona; brothers, Ashton Burroughs of Woodstock, Virginia, Nicholas Williams of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Timothy Theodore, Jr. of Woodstock, Virginia; and sixteen nieces, seven nephews and three great nephews.
David was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Williams.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Mike Mayton officiating. Interment will be private.
