David Morgan “Dabo” Blankenship, 83, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Dutch Haven Assisted Living.

Mr. Blankenship was born in 1936 in Clay, WV, son of the late Giles and Sobina Blankenship. He was a heavy equipment mechanic.

His wife, Marie Blankenship, preceded him in death in 2004.

Surviving are his daughters, Kathy Walker (John) of Scott Depot, WV and Ruth Royal, of Dunbar, WV and his son, David Wayne Blankenship of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren, Susan Young of Scott Depot, WV; Elizabeth Royal of Charleston, WV; Zachary Blankenship of Martinsburg, WV; and Joshua Blankenship of Inwood, WV; sister, Jean Church of Big Otter, WV and brother, Charles Blankenship of Florida.

Along with his parents and his wife, Dabo was preceded in death by brothers, Autis, Demps, Dencil, Ernest, James, Gerald, and Ralph Blankenship and sisters, Gladys Hensley and Opal Blankenship.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
