David D. Kulha, 60, of Winchester, VA passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.
Dave was for born in 1961 in Allegheny County, PA to the late Edward Thomas and Elizabeth Kulha. He graduated from Irwin High School in 1979 then went on to earn dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Geography and Earth Science from Clarion University and his Master’s Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Geography, concentrating in Cartography. Dave worked as a cartographer for the federal government until 2006. Since retirement, Dave took care of his mother in her later years. He loved Pittsburgh sports teams and fantasy football. He loved to travel, do yard work and cut wood. Dave was very supportive of his son and attended all of his sporting events. He also loved his German Shepherds, Pulsar and Halley.
Dave married Carole Elaine Motzing on June 24, 1985 in Winchester, VA.
He is survived by his wife, Carole; son, David Edward Kulha (Kelly) of Bunker Hill, WV; granddaughter, Isla Grace Kulha of Bunker Hill, WV; brothers, Thomas Kulha (Tina) of Winchester, VA and Dwayne Kulha (Annette) of Gerrardstown, WV; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be Saturday, November 27 at 12pm with a service at 2pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private in Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery, White Hall, VA.
