Claude Genevieve Huntsberry, 84, of Kirkland, Washington, and formerly of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on November 6, 2016.

Mrs. Huntsberry was born in 1932, in Mirecourt, France., She was the daughter of the late Paul G. and Lucienne A. Lage. She met James Walter Huntsberry while he was stationed in France with the United States Army and was married on January 3, 1955 in Nancy, France. Mrs. Huntsberry moved to Winchester in 1956 and became a United States citizen on July 13, 1959. Mrs. Huntsberry was a real estate broker and owned and operated Huntsberry Realty Company with her husband for over 30 years. She was a member of the Braddock Street United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her two children, James W. Huntsberry, Jr. and his wife Valerie, of Kirkland, Washington, and Gina R. Bayes and her husband Ronnie, of North Garden, Virginia; four grandchildren, Sara Wells, Julie O’Neal, James Huntsberry, III, and Timothy Pleasants; and six great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19th, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. A reception will immediately follow the service at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private at Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.
