Chander K. Bhardwaj
Chander Kanta Sharma Bhardwaj, 77, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at her home.
Mrs. Bhardwaj was born in 1937, in Qadian Punjab, India, the daughter of the late Paras Ram and Suhagvanti Sharma. She, of the Hindu faith, was a beloved mother, wife, and friend. Kanta was selfless in how she lived and will always be remembered that way.
She married Brahm Tej Bhardwaj on March 6, 1964, in India.
Surviving with her husband is her daughter, Minni Bhardwaj Powell and husband, Jimmy, of Richmond, Virginia; son, Manoj Kumar Bhardwaj and wife, Urvashi, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and five grandchildren, as well as many extended family and friends around the world.
A Hindu prayer service was conducted on Friday afternoon, November 7, 2014, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester, Virginia.
